BDEC Indoor Tournament

The Beaufort Delta Education Council (BDEC) will be sponsoring the BDEC Sports Festival in Aklavik March 11-13, 2011. The council believes that regular school attendance is the key to success and it wishes to celebrate the efforts of students with high attendance in all nine BDEC schools. Over 250 students and chaperones from throughout the region will be travelling to Aklavik to participate in this event.
While Soccer will be the choice sport for teams to participate, student athletes will have the option to take part in other activities, like a referee clinic, festival dance, movie night, swimming at the town pool, etc. This gives each participant a chance to promote their home communities and display pride in their heritage. We are looking forward to a wonderful weekend.
