Membership Terms of Agreement

By indicating your agreement to these terms on the registration form, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to the following:

  1. Fair Play Pledge - I acknowledge that I have read and agree to apply the Fair Play Pledge below as a player, coach, or team volunteer and as a member of the Northwest Territories Soccer Association.  This pledge promotes respect for self, team mates, officials, coaches, the game, and others who may be involved in the sport of soccer.

    • I will play soccer because I want to, not just because others or coaches want me to.
    • I will play by the rules of soccer, and in the spirit of the game.
    • I will respect my opponents.
    • I will do my best to be a true team player.
    • I will remember that winning isn?t everything ? that having fun, improving skills, making friends and doing my best are also important.
    • I will acknowledge all good plays/performances ? those of my team and my opponents.
    • I will remember that coaches and officials are there to help me. I will accept their decisions and show them respect.
  2. Code of Conduct - I also acknowledge that I have read and agree to apply the following principles of the Canadian Soccer Association CODE OF CONDUCT also supported by the Northwest Territories Soccer Association:

    ?I, the undersigned, certify the information to be true and by signing this certificate I have become subject to the rules, regulations and decisions of the Canadian Soccer Association (C.S.A.), its branches and/or divisions which may be restrictive in some areas such as movement from team to team, conduct, etc., and I agree to abide by such rules, regulations and decisions of the C.S.A., its Board of Directors, its branches and/or division. I am aware that these rules and regulations are available to me through my team manager or on the C.S.A. website.

  3. Disclosure of Personal Information - I agree to allow the NWT Soccer Association to disclose my personal contact and medical information under the following circumstances:

    • Insurance Claim - If you choose to take advantage of the insurance we provide as part of your membership, we will provide your healthcare number and other medical information to our insurance company on your behalf in order to process the claim.
    • Accident or Injury - If an accident or injury occurs during an event sanctioned by the NWT Soccer Association, we will provide your contact and medical information to medical personnel as required to.

Website Terms of Use

By accessing our website (nwticks.ca), you, the user, agree to the terms and conditions we set out here. These terms and conditions may change at our discretion any time, and without notice.

Use of this website, including registrations and transactions that may be performed through this website, are governed by the laws and the courts of the Northwest Territories, and by the applicable laws of Canada. The user is responsible for complying with these laws.

We may correct errors or inaccuracies and change or update information on this website frequently and at any time without notice. All new member registrations are subject to confirmation. Any prices shown are in Canadian dollars and all charges will be processed in Canadian dollars. Listed membership and event prices are also subject to confirmation. The user agrees to pay all fees applicable to their membership or event registrations.

Our Liability

This Web site should be accessed and used at your own risk. Though reasonable efforts have been made to ensure the website is current and contains no inaccuracies or errors, no guarantees are made that the website's content will be error-free, accurate, complete or current at all or any times. When a mistake is noticed, we will correct it as soon as possible and make reasonable efforts to notify affected users.

We are not responsible for lost, incomplete, illegible, misdirected or stolen messages or mail, unavailable connections, failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed transmissions, online failures, hardware, software, or other technical malfunctions or disturbances. We are also not responsible for inaccurate or erroneous information provided by the member, whether or not these circumstances affect, disrupt, or corrupt communications and/or cause problems or delays with registrations.

The NWT Soccer Association and our directors and employees are not liable for any damages arising out of or related to access to or use of our site, or sites we link to, whether or not these damages are foreseeable and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility, including, without limitation, direct, indirect, special, consequential, incidental or punitive damages.

This agreement between the NWT Soccer Association and you, the user, supersedes all prior agreements and understandings pertaining to this subject matter.
