The Aurora Minor Soccer League is a non-profit society registered under the Societies Act based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.  The objectives of the Aurora Minor Soccer League are to provide a safe and positive environment for playing soccer that promotes fair play, equal playing time, and true sportsmanship.

The League is essentially an indoor soccer league which operates from October to mid-March.  Players range from 5 years old to 18 years old and are separated into nine divisions (approximately 500 players).  The rules essentially follow the Arctic Winter Game rules but there are some differences.

The League is totally dependent on volunteers.  The Executive, consisting of President, Vice-President, Registrar, Secretary and Treasurer are elected at the annual general meeting held in June of each year for a one-year term.  Coordinator positions are appointed by the Executive which include division coordinators, head coach, head referee, tournament and volunteer coordinator.  Check out the contact information for a listing of the Executive and coordinators.

Games are played in school gymnasiums.  Teams play on average twice a week with our 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10 divisions enjoying opportunities for skill development.  The indoor season ends with a wind up tournament sometime in March or April.
