Mission Statement

The mission of the Yellowknife United Soccer Club (YUSC) is to provide Yellowknife youth boys and girls the opportunity to develop individual and team soccer skills to their fullest potential through expert training and excellent team competition.  The club will address the physical, psychological, technical and tactical components of the game when training to ensure the best experience for each player.  We endeavour to help our members develop into outstanding players who will excel in high-school and have the courage to try out for college or university programs.

Moving Forward

Administrative Volunteers Needed!

Each team will needs several people on the YUSC Fundraising Committee.  Parents: Please indicate in writing your availability to these positions, listing past experience with sport teams and/or administrative skills, to Lyric Sandhals at Sport North Federation (see Contact Us for her coordinates) or your Team Manager.  Benefits TBD!

Parents: 
YUSC could use parental involvement with any of the following:
* YUSC Fundraising committee (one parent per team)
* Team Manager per team 
* Equipment / uniform coordinator
* Parent supervisors (at the field for practices) and/or coordinators of same (currently listed as Coaches' responsibility) 

Definitions/roles are as follow: 

Team Manager (one per team)
* collects money and other information from parents (gives to Club Manager)
* issues receipts
* arranges for ONE parent to be on site during all practices (backup to Coach in emergency situations)
* helps co-ordinate team travel 
* liason between Coach(es) and Club Manager(s)

Fundraising Committee (one parent per team)
* Plans and provides fundraising opportunities for all YUSC players/parents 
* Sends information to communications co-ordinator
* Tracks information on fundraising credits for all players (works with Treasurer) 

Equipment / uniform co-ordinator (one only) 
* Keeps inventory of club equipment
* Stores equipment if necessary
* Finds/maintains storage unit (to share with NWT SA and/or other clubs)??
