| Team Numbers: | 16 players ranging in age from 10-13 years old. The Spartans are the youngest high performance soccer team in Yellowknife. |
Program Objective
To produc dedicated, motivated, and technically gifted outdoor soccer players that can compete at a collegiate level upon graduation from high school.
The program will be delivered for seven years with players staying with the team until age 18. YCFC is the only team in Yellowknife with a long term plan that will work with the same team members.
The team intends to attend two outdoor soccer tournaments per season and in 2012 and 2014 plans on attnding international training camps and tournaments (Europe and South America).
Program Details
The team presently trains a total of six hours per week. In addition to soccer specific training, the players have one session each week of fitness and conditioning.
A 95% non-excused attendance level must be maintained by all team members.
Players are required to arrive early and be ready for training on time, everytime.
Players have committed to be "soccer first" athletes. Other sports and recreational activities take a second place to team scheduling.
