The NWT Soccer Association operates primarily on Sport North Federation's Lottery funding, which provides the base budget to deliver grassroots player, coaching, and refereeing clinics to our membership, dispersed over 20 communities throughout the Northwest Territories.
NWTSA also relies heavily on funding from Northwestel. Under a three-year agreement renewed in 2007, Northwestel continues to provide the NWT Soccer Association with $10,000.00 each calendar year for grassroots development and t-shirts which are distributed to our grassroots Members during events throughout the NWT.
NWTSA also enjoys a partnership with First Air who provide discounted airfares to our members when they are attending NWT Soccer sanctioned events or are on soccer-related travel. First Air also supports the norther soccer community by providing promotional items for NWTSA events.
Orbis Engineering is a southern engineering company who do a lot of business in the NWT and are strong supporters of the game of soccer. To give back to the northern community they allow one of their employees, Mr. Keith Pritchard - who is a National A-licensed coach, to travel to Yellowknife to assist with NWT Soccer programs. Overlander Sports also supports many soccer initiatives and donates soccer swag to NWT Soccer events throughout the year. Darren Horn photography is also in the stands and on the field during tournaments and camps to capture the development of our players, coaches and referees and maintains a folder for NWT Soccer pictures on his website.
